Mark Moriarty joins Diego Reserve as first ever global ‘gastronomer’

Irish chef Mark Moriarty (San Pellegrino World Young Chef of the Year 2015) has today (27 September) been appointed global ‘gastronomer’ of spirits brand Diego Reserve.

As the company’s “global authority on food and gastronomy culture,” Moriarty will be responsible for will forging a connection between wider food occasions and the Diageo Reserve spirits portfolio (including Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky, Ciroc vodka and Tanqueray No. Ten).

 

His “classically-based, simple, confident” cooking style has earned Moriarty global recognition, having won the San Pellegrino World Young Chef of the Year in 2015.

 

He said: “Becoming the first Diageo Reserve global gastronomer is a fantastic opportunity.

 

“I can’t wait to work alongside the Diageo Reserve community and other industry thought-leaders to bring these revolutionary brands to life through food – ultimately creating some incredible taste experiences for consumers and encouraging them to see a great cocktail as a way of maximising the culinary moment.”
