Le Méridien New Delhi celebrates World Chocolate Day with a ‘Towering Chocolate Marvel’
Held at The Atrium, the event featured interactive experiences, curated tastings and a visual delight of themed décor. The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of an chocolate installation titled ‘Once Upon a Chocotales’—a creation that embodied the fantasy and wonder of the day.
Crafted entirely by the hotel’s pâtisserie team with the leadership of chef Vivek Chauhan, senior executive pastry chef, the installation featured a towering chocolate bar standing five feet tall and weighing 300 lbs.
This sculpture was made using pure couverture chocolate from the globally renowned Casa Luker, known for its rich flavour profile and artisanal quality.
The event was attended by two esteemed guests of Honour: His Excellency the ambassador of Belgium to India and Her Excellency the ambassador of Mexico to India, both representing nations deeply intertwined with the history and evolution of chocolate.
Chauhan said: “From immersive storytelling to chocolate-infused creativity, the event served as a delicious reminder that chocolate is more than just a treat—it’s an experience, a memory, and a little bite of happiness. Le Méridien New Delhi continues to curate immersive experiences that blend culinary artistry with cultural storytelling, reaffirming its place as a destination of inspired hospitality in the heart of the capital.”
