
Jason Atherton opens third restaurant at The Shanghai Edition
Located in the historic centre of Puxi, the brand new, ground floor restaurant is said to be ‘very similar’ to Atherton’s Berner Street (London) site, and offers an all-day brasserie-style menu.
It is the third site that the he now operates inside the hotel, including HIYA and Canton Disco – all overseen by chef de cuisine Scott Melvin, who has worked with Atherton for the past 14 years.
Atherton commented: ‘This is our third project with Edition and Ian Schrager (hotelier) - we couldn’t be prouder to be part of this exciting launch. Ian has been a very important figure in my life since embarking on our partnership, first with BernersTavern in London and then The Clocktower in New York, which was awarded a Michelin star in 2017.
