On Tuesday, Steve, owner at Steve Walpole Ltd and former senior executive development chef at Gate Gourmet for the likes of British Airways First Class, will lead the proceedings, presenting demos including Classic Pub Dishes with Aaron Mulliss and Nick Beardshaw, head chef and senior sous chef at Tom Kerridge’s Michelin starred Hand and Flowers.
Wrapping up the last day of the Skillery, Geoff, national treasurer for the Craft Guild of Chefs, will present a host of culinary delights, including ‘An Insight into Luxury Retail’ with Allister Bishop, executive sous chef at Harrods.
Steve and Rob will also be getting in on the live demo action, Steve offering visitors some invaluable insight in Free From Food - Free From Stress on the Sunday, and Rob taking visitors through two of the dishes he cooked for a dinner party on Channel 4's You Can't Get The Staff in ‘Design Make Create’, which takes place on the Tuesday.
Martin Bates, chief executive of the Craft Guild of Chefs, said: “It’s fantastic to have four such experienced chefs at the helm at IFE and I’m sure they’ll get visitors right into the spirit of the Skillery, the chance to see award-winning chefs explore a whole host of culinary techniques during what promises to be enlightening and entertaining experience for all.”
Organised by the Craft Guild, the Skillery ultimately aims to enlighten IFE visitors with ways to improve their culinary skills, hone menu creation expertise, increase profit margins and reduce waste, with award-winning chefs from right across the sectors showcasing their skills.
This year’s Skillery sponsors are AAK, Churchill, Farm Frites, GenWare, McCain, Premier, Nestle, CCS, City and Guilds, CGC Graduate Awards and Infusion for Chefs.
