Gordon Ramsay Academy to host Restaurant Competition
David McKown, director of the competition, commented: “We are incredibly excited to be hosting the semi-final in a new location this year and the facilities at the Gordon Ramsay Academy are first class.”
Gordon has said of the Academy: “The Academy is a place I’m so passionate about and proud of. Not only do we offer guests of all ages and abilities the chance to learn in what I hope is a fun, relaxed and also really informative way, but there are also many other exciting events to host and development opportunities to explore for chefs, home-cooks and anyone who loves food."
In relation to hosting the semi-finals, head of the Academy, Clare Gazzard, said: “We are thrilled to be able to support the competition and see what these amazingly talented young chefs can do. At the Academy, our goal is to inspire anyone and everyone to cook, so this feels like a fantastic opportunity to help inspire future stars of the culinary world, too.”
Teams selected for the semi-finals will be accommodated in a local hotel the night before the competition and a welcome dinner for competitors and judges will take place at Gordon Ramsay Street Burger.
Teams will also be supported with travel costs thanks to a grant from the Savoy Educational Trust.
The closing date for entries in UK Young Restaurant Team of the Year is 10th February 2023 and an entry pack can be requested by emailing: [email protected].
