Exeter College receives Public Sector Catering accolade at awards ceremony
Exeter College Hospitality is a place where students are challenged, supported, and inspired every day. It is a place where they grow—not just as professionals, but as people.
The hospitality department at Exeter College has grown into a genuine hub of excellence for the South West. Their work is driven by a simple belief: students thrive when they are surrounded by opportunity, supported by experts, and challenged to aim high.
Every programme includes a rich and varied enrichment offer. Students take part in trips, visits, demonstrations, and workshops that deepen their understanding of the industry. They also bring in external speakers to address topics that matter to young people entering hospitality today.
The faculty of 16 full‑time lecturers brings an extraordinary range of experience. Among them are former footmen to HRH Queen Elizabeth II, chefs from Michelin‑starred restaurants, patisserie specialists, cruise‑ship professionals, hotel owners and leaders of major catering operations.
Every student cooks and serves in @34, regardless of their qualification. Exeter College believes that working with real customers, real expectations, and real feedback is essential to their development. Each service is carefully differentiated to ensure learners at every level can succeed and grow.
