Electrolux Professional receives EcoVadis award for sustainability efforts
The achievement underscores Electrolux Professional’s efforts to drive responsible business practices across its operations, with EcoVadis evaluating companies based on four key pillars of environment, labour & human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
Earlier this year, Electrolux Professional’s annual and sustainability report revealed the firm was on course to meet its target of becoming climate neutral by 2030, having made significant progress in reducing both direct and indirect operational emissions throughout 2024.
Swapnil Choudhari, vice president of group sustainability and quality at Electrolux Professional Group, said: “The gold medal from EcoVadis is a testament to our continuous efforts to improve our sustainability performance. Last year, we were honoured with a silver medal, and this year, we have made significant strides to elevate our standing. It is a significant milestone for the group.”
During 2024, Electrolux Professional reduced Scope 1 and 2 emissions from its industrial sites by 61% (compared to a base year of 2019), leaving it just 9% away from reaching its 2030 target of a 70% reduction. This was primarily achieved by doubling renewable energy generation across its factory operations.
