Written by: Edward Waddell
Matt Owens, chair of the Craft Guild of Chefs, shared a message to Craft Guild members on Twitter highlighting the importance of speaking about our mental health.

In the message Owens said: “We know at the Craft Guild how hard it is out there for you all and we’ve set channels up to support you. These can be accessed through our website and on our app, which can be downloaded in your app store.

“We know its tough. You guys are all doing well but its good for you to reach out and chat to anyone of us. We’re here for you. It’s your guild. I wish you all the wealth, health and happiness moving forward as we get into the crazy season of Christmas which is upon us.

“We recognise there is huge staff shortages, supply chain issues and energy cost rises but we are here at the Craft Guild of Chefs for you. Take care all and I will catch up with you soon.”

Mental Health Day took place on 10 October 2022 with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world.
