Chefs impress at Wessex Salon Culinaire 2018
Culinary students from across the country descended upon Brockenhurst College last month (30-31 May) for the annual Wessex Salon Culinaire competition, co-hosted by the Craft Guild of Chefs.
With over 500 entrants, the two-day event is one of the biggest and most exciting competitions in the UK and is divided into five different categories: live hot, live cold, restaurant, display and the Wessex bake-off.
Open to student chefs, front of house staff and patissiers, the competition – now in its fifth year - is designed to give competitors their “first taste of competition experience.”
