Chef and restaurateur Huseyin Özer has teamed up with Middlesex University to create a professional course on the essential ingredients for success in the catering and hospitality industry.
The Certificate in Personal and Professional Development is available through Middlesex University and is part of their Work Based Learning initiative. The course gives students the skills to: • Run their own commercial kitchen • Build up a successful restaurant • Become a professional chef • Acquire managerial and presentation skills Students will gain hands on experience by attending sessions on site at the London based Sofra restaurants which will give them an insight into the industry. Özer commented on the course: "I believe a practical hands on approach is the best way to learn and I feel privileged to be involved with the Work Based Learning initiative. I learnt about how diverse all cuisine can be by cooking it and getting involved, not from behind a desk!"
