Chef and Butcher Masterclasses to take place at Skills for Chefs Conference

Chef and Butcher Masterclasses will be a feature of the Skills for Chefs Conference on 29 & 30 June.

Chef Chris Wheeler and Butcher Martin Eccles will team up to showcase creative ways to use quality meat from Britain within commercial businesses. 

Originally from Swanage in Dorset, Chris discovered his passion for food and cooking at a young age, working alongside Chef Jean Christophe-Novelli for 10 years, rising through the ranks to become group head chef, winning Michelin stars and 5 Red stars throughout the Novelli empire.

In 2003, Chris joined Stoke Park where he oversees all aspects of catering from the 3 AA Rosette fine-dining restaurant, Humphry’s to cooking for hundreds of people at weddings, events, parties and of course the annual Boodles Tennis Competition.

Martin provides butchery information to the multiple retail and foodservice sector and works closely with the AHDB events team to provide butchery demonstrations. He also assists in product development information and development of the meat education programme. Martin recently presented in Beverley Hills and Las Vegas, California, showcasing the best of quality meat from Britain.
