Asian Plate Art Awards 2024 announces overall winner
The winner was food blogger and author Ellanor Aquitaine from Manchester. Her vegan starter entry was crispy ajwain scented polenta, compressed saag, wild garlic chilli compound butter, spun jaggery, popcorn shoots, micro radish, wild garlic flowers. Her vegan main course was Kolhapuri Misal, lemon caviar, shallot petals, wild garlic oil, curry leaf tuile, kumquat gel, torched heirloom tomato, crispy curry leaf, garlic flowers.
Gold medals were also awarded to Tony Leck from Guernsey, Kerwin Mark Funtanilla from Philippines, Longueville Manor Hotel & restaurant from Jersey and Bohemia from Jersey.
The Asian Plate Art Awards were founded during Covid when competing chefs had nowhere to showcase their skills. In their first year, the competition garnered 110 entries from around the world with over 50,000+ votes in the Peoples’ Choice category.
This event is organised by UK Curry Connect with the Craft Guild of Chefs. The event was sponsored by the IBD Partnership Group and Sponsor Licence Specialists. View the full results in a document below.
