Action Against Hunger launches ‘Moveable Feasts’ fundraiser supper club

Written by: Katie Imms
In its bid to end child malnutrition worldwide, Action Against Hunger is launching its fundraiser supper club ‘Moveable Feasts’ - offering consumers the chance to try “a unique four-course menu across different restaurants.”

With five events in total - London Soho, The City, Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester – guests will attend a drinks reception before being whisked off to four different “renowned” restaurants where they will enjoy one course per venue.

Kicking off in The City on 12 March, Londoners will sample dishes from Temple at Andaz Liverpool Street; chef Dan Doherty’s Duck & Waffle; steakhouse Hawksmoor Guildhall and chef Abdul Yaseen’s Indian restaurant, Darbaar.

Ana Fonseca from Andaz, The Masonic Temple said: ‘It’s always a pleasure for us to host events in the Masonic Temple and open it up to people who wouldn’t normally have the chance to see it.

“It’s such a special room and sometimes we forget how magical it can be to sit under the star gilded ceiling and enjoy a fine dining meal surrounded by 15 different types of marble. It’s all the more special when partnering with Action Against Hunger, a worthy charity we have worked with for three years now.’

This will be followed by Leeds city centre event on 14 March, Liverpool on 22 March and London Soho on 27 March, which will include the Michelin-starred restaurant, The Ninth; Hakkasan Hanway Place; Barrafina Drury Lane and private members club, Quo Vadis. A final event will take place in Manchester “later on in the year.”

Head of food-related fundraising for Action Against Hunger, Emma Cullingford, commented: “Guests are going to be in for a really special treat dining at some of Action Against Hunger’s top supporting restaurants throughout London, Liverpool, and Leeds.

“Every course within each venue has been carefully thought about to give diners a unique evening filled with mouth-watering food and an experience they won’t forget”.

Tickets cost £80 per person (with only 60 available per event) and all funds will go directly to Action Against Hunger – they include a drinks reception and four-course dinner with drink pairings https://www.actionagainsthunger.org.uk/get-involved/attend-event/moveable-feast?utm_source=press+release&utm_medium=press&utm_campaign=moveable_feast.
