74 Charlotte Street by Ben Murphy to open this autumn in Fitzrovia
Nestled in the heart of Fitzrovia, this modern restaurant will be home to former Craft Guild of Chefs National Chef of the Year winner Ben Murphy. Born and raised in London, Murphy’s career spans the likes of The Berkeley and Launceston Place.
The restaurant, led by head chef Ben Murphy, offers a vibrant menu with accessible pricing a ‘striking’ design by Chris Bagot Architects and an atmosphere that is both refined and welcoming.
With a 300- bottle wine list, imaginative cocktails, and warm, attentive service led by senior general manager Rosario Cappiello, 74 Charlotte Street is set to redefine modern dining in the capital with a spirit of flavour, hospitality and ‘unforgettable experiences’.
The menu will include classics such as beef Wellington served with braised beefy chips, anchovy and timur pepper, as well as a fig leaf souffle served with olive oil ice-cream.
Murphy commented: “I am thrilled to be working with WSH Restaurants for 74 Charlotte Street. This restaurant isn’t just about fine dining, it’s about celebrating food that people simply love to eat and will make them smile, whatever the occasion, which this new menu achieves. We want to serve food that’s seasonal, sustainable and full of flavour. Our aim is to make it a memorable experience, to ensure our guests visit time and time again.”
The project is spearheaded by Alessandro Fasoli MCA, managing director of WSH Restaurants, whose portfolio includes The Woodspeen, The Clockspire, The Boxford, and The Braywood.
Fasoli added: “This is a restaurant that reflects not just Ben’s journey, but the evolving spirit of dining in London. We’re creating an accessible space where everyone feels welcome, offering great hospitality and excellence in service that makes every visit unforgettable. From the moment guests step through the door, their senses are awakened by excellent food in an atmosphere that’s alive, approachable, and designed for everyone.”
