Tewinbury Cookery School Nestled in the Hertfordshire countryside the 700 acre farmland estate has several lakes, woods, and country walks. Rural woodland cabins and several shepherds huts on the water’s edge make this an idyllic location, a stone’s throw from the nature reserve. Renovated farm buildings now host farm shops, private dining restaurants, bars and exclusive wedding venues in 17th century tythe barns.

Our new cookery school set on the banks of the River Mimram opening this summer will deliver a diverse range of courses including Plant-Based to Foraging to Chocolate to Charcuterie to Fire Pits to Wild Game to Artisan Breads to name a few…

Our target audience will also be broad in terms of reaching out to after school clubs to create our junior chefs academy, through to professional chefs wanting to develop their depth of knowledge in our craft training workshops.

We will offer half day, full day and residential courses, private and group sessions to a maximum of 12 guests Team Building and corporate events of over 12 guests can be explored. The cookery school will be ingredient led and showcase real food from our mindful organic kitchen garden and our heritage breeds on the farm.

Our chefs & gardeners have a deep rooted passion to nurture & grow together. We will cook responsibly with energy efficient induction technology to reduce not only consumption but the heat also within the school. Our core vision is fresh, simple, natural, healthy & sustainable, using seasonal, local and home grown produce when possible.

When we source artisan ingredients further afield it is purely on the grounds of their outstanding premium quality, although geographically challenged Cornish Sea Salt is a great example of this.
