Six of London’s top chefs have posed for a series of shots covered in their favourite ingredients to mark tickets going on-sale for Taste of London 2016.

Monica Galetti, Pascal Aussignac, Ben Tish, Francesco Mazzei, Dan Doherty and Ana Morris took part, with some rather unique and eye catching results…

Taste of London 2016 will return to London’s Regent’s Park from 15-19 June 2016 and turn it into a foodie wonderland, with over 40 restaurants taking part with live cooking demonstrations, interactive culinary features, masterclasses and live entertainment.

Monica Galetti, Masterchef judge and chef, covered herself in flour. She said: "I love making my own bread, you can not beat the smell and taste of freshly baked bread."

Francesco Mazzei, London chef specialising in Italian cuisine, bathed in streams of olive oil. He said: "I love good quality Italian olive oil, the smell and the flavor is fantastic and can really enhance a dish. Today I was that dish. Fantastic fun."

Owner/chef Ana Norris balanced a bespoke headdress made entirely out of meringues on her head. She said: "Today was a little different to a normal day! However I was never going to complain about having my head piled high with delicious, fluffy Meringues – my utter favourite. I may have snuck a few into my mouth, shhh!”

Dan Doherty, executive chef of Duck & Waffle, took his love of mackerel to new heights as his upper body was transformed into that of a mackerel. Dan said: "It is true I am a big fan of mackerel, but I never imagined I’d be transformed into one. There’s a first for everything.”

Ben Tish, chef director of Salt Yard Group, channeled his inner Pooh Bear by admitting his love of honey. "We use a lot of honey at the restaurants, it is especially delicious drizzled over the deep dried courgette flowers," Tish said. "I never thought it would be drizzled over me though. The shoot was fantastic fun, if a bit sticky!”

Michelin-starred chef Pascal Aussignac celebrated his passion for the squid. He said: "I love squid and all seafood really so it was only right I should cement that love by having it tattooed on my back. Maybe I will have the real deal next!”

Prices start at £16 and children go free Wednesday and Thursday day-time sessions. For more information or to buy tickets go to www.tasteoflondon.co.uk
