Steve Munkley receives LifeTime Achievement Award

Steve Munkley, vice-president of the Craft Guild of Chefs, has received the ‘IHC - IIHM LifeTime Achievement Award’ by IHC London.

The Hospitality day awards for life time achievement and honours are given by The International Hospitality Council and IIHM, they are professional recognition awards recommended by a panel of industry Fellows. Other recipients were Chris Galvin, Sally Beck, Peter Jones.

A spokesperson said: “The International Hospitality Council represents over 100 colleges and universities that have links with IIHM and the Young Chef Olympiad, it is also linked with The International College of distinguished Fellows, The College of  Fellows is made up of many Senior managers, CEOs of Hotels groups restaurants, hospitality operators and entrepreneurs. 

“The IHC is working globally to raise the status of the industry and to encourage young people to enter the industry, to clearly show the opportunities available for career progression and success. These awards are only given to those who have a clear record of success and have demonstrated commitment and passion for the industry. They therefore are a role model for young people.”
