Shortlist for Craft Guild of Chef's New Restaurant of the Year award unveiled

The shortlist for the Craft Guild of Chefs New Restaurant of the Year award, which will see a Newcastle-based restaurant compete against three London eateries.

Kenny Atkinson’s Newcastle quayside-based House of Tides restaurant has joined other contenders, Jason Atherton’s City Social, Nuno Mendes’s much-lauded Chiltern Firehouse, and Lee Westcott’s Typing Room.

Judges from the Craft Guild of Chefs will be visiting the restaurants over the next few weeks and the winner will be announced along with 16 other highly contended awards at the Hilton Park Lane on Monday, June 15th 2015.

Shortlists for the other Craft Guild of Chefs awards are expected to be announced later next month, with judging taking place in mid-April.
