Rick Stein’s Sunset Cinema will debut at Cliveden House, Buckinghamshire, from June 21st. The cinema will also be at Chewton Glen Hotel in the New Forest, Hampshire from July 9th.  

Stein said: “I’ve always loved going to the cinema, but sometimes I just love making myself something delicious to eat, putting on a great movie and settling down for the evening.

“The Pop-Up Picture Company is a perfect combination of all these elements - that great cinema atmosphere, with dinner served to the comfort of your sofa and the added bonus of simply stunning locations. I’m really looking forward to the summer.”

The menu will feature seafood dished curated by Stein as well as lamb and a vegetarian option.

The launch comes after the success of the Pop-Up Picture House which ran in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, with food served by Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge, including ice-cream of Kerridge’s The Hand and Flowers restaurant, Marlow. 

Kerridge said: “We were absolutely blown away by the demand for the event in Marlow and now want to share this with people in more unique and diverse venues.

“Rick is one of my all-time food heroes and to have him on board for the summer launch is phenomenal. What a great way to make a special occasion out of a trip to the cinema.”

The Pop-Up Picture House is preparing for a programme of events across the UK, following Rick Stein’s Sunset Cinema.
