Michelin Stars revealed at first ever live event
Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck regained its Three Star Michelin rating, after moving back from Australia, at the first ever Michelin Guide event held today at IET London.
Michelin revealed 18 new One Michelin Star establishments as well as awarding Raby Hunt at Summerhouse Two Michelin Stars. No new Three Stars were announced.
Speaking at the event Michael Ellis, international director of the Michelin Guides, said: “Great Britain and Ireland’s restaurants are among the most exciting in the world.”
Another Michelin first was the presentation of two new Special Recognition Awards. Clare Smyth, chef patron at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, picked up the Michelin Female Chef Award 2017 and Peels at Hampton Manor won the Welcome and Service Award 2017.
