Four Michelin-starred chefs have teamed up with sparkling water brand S.Pellegrino to find the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2018.

Angela Hartnett MBE, Alyn Williams of Alyn Williams at The Westbury, Phil Howard of The Square in Mayfair and Mickael Viljanen of The Greenhouse Restaurant, Dublin will judge the top ten semi finalists and select one chef to represent the UK and Ireland in Milan in June 2018.

Hartnett said: “This global S.Pellegrino initiative is one that I couldn’t be happier to support. Gastronomic competitions like this allow the next generation of Michelin starred chefs to make themselves known on a global platform and I am excited at this opportunity to help them do so.

“It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the ambitious young chefs to develop their skill set and for us as a judging panel to inspire them.”

The chefs will prepare and cook a signature dish for the judges in a cook-off, which will be judged on skill, genius, ingredients, beauty and message at the semi final in October this year.

Young chefs under 30-years old and with at least one year of experience as a chef, sous chef or chef de partie have until April 20th 2017 to apply.
