Mark Sargeant joins The Game Bird for one night

Written by: Katie Imms
Mark Sargeant, Young National Chef of the Year ambassador and chair of judges, is hosting a one-off five-course dinner at The Game Bird (The Stafford Hotel, London) next month.

Taking place 23 November, Sargeant will join friend Ben Tish - The Stafford culinary director – in the kitchen, where he will showcase his “simple British dishes, with seasonal ingredients carefully sourced and beautifully cooked.”

At £80 per person, the meal will include canapés and a champagne reception, as well as the five-course dinner:

  • Smoked cod’s roe with seaweed crackers and sourdough
  • Pheasant ravioli in a game and truffle broth
  • with Jerusalem artichoke purée and sweet sherry caramel
  • Venison wellington with pomme purée and roasted carrot
  • Pear Tart Tatin with cinnamon ice cream

The dinner forms part of The Stafford’s on-going guest chef series, which has seen Tom Kitchin, Michael Wignall and Lisa Allen host there.
