Marco Pierre White to open third Bardolino restaurant in Swindon

TV chef Marco Pierre White is to open a third Bardolino Pizzeria Bellini and Espresso Bar in Swindon next month, following successful openings of the chain in Bristol and Birmingham.

The restaurant, with the capacity for 80 covers, is set to open in the former The Old Bank restaurant on Wood Street and will focus on stone-baked pizza and pasta. A bottomless brunch will be available on Sundays with unlimited Bellinis paired with any brunch menu item.

Pierre White said: “Bardolino represents affordable, friendly and casual dining with authentic recognizable Italian dishes. After months of planning for the opening, I’m very much looking forward to opening the doors and offering a real taste of Italy to Swindon diners.”

Manni Madhani will operate the restaurant under license from Pierre White’s Black and White hospitality business and also manage The Bank bars on two floors of the building.

The restaurant’s décor will aim reflect the Mediterranean and ‘ultra-casual’, relaxed feel of the restaurant.

Bardolino in Birmingham and Bristol opened last year and the restaurant chain takes its name from Pierre White’s mother’s birthplace in northern Italy.
