
Major International appoints Wayne Asson as executive development chef
Asson, a highly regarded chef in the industry, has worked in some of the country’s most prestigious restaurants in establishments which include The Royal Bath Hotel in Bournemouth, St David’s Hotel in Cardiff and The Belfry Hotel in Warwickshire.
In 2007 he opened a restaurant in Villa Martin in Spain, which was successful and generated a loyal following from both locals and visitors. However, after spending several years there, he decided to move back to the UK taking on the role of executive chef at Billesley Manor in Stratford-upon-Avon.
On his return to the Midlands, he also set up his own personal chef business in Birmingham, before joining the team at Major where he will be working closely with senior executive development chef, Brian Eastment.
Major’s managing director David Bryant said: “We’re delighted to have Wayne on board and he’s already creating waves.
