Le Cochon Aveugle prepares for vegetarian takeover

Written by: Katie Imms
As part of Le Cochon Aveugle’s (York) chef takeover series, it will welcome Andrew Dargue of London’s Vanilla Black on 1 July, where he will prepare a ‘totally’ vegetarian menu.

Working alongside critically-acclaimed Le Cochon Aveugle’s owner, Josh Overington, the pair will embrace the ever growing popularity of plant-based foods using ingredients from supplier and specialist grower, Ken Holland.

Overington said: “This will be the second of our new chef nights and tickets have all but sold out with just a handful left.

“We held one earlier this month and it was a roaring success, with many guests saying they couldn’t wait to come and do it again.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be welcoming Andrew into my kitchen for this vegetarian takeover event, and we are so very lucky to have secured Ken too.

“They are both such well respected leaders in their field and I can’t wait to work alongside them for a night.”
