Jestic supports ACE’s Ready Steady Cook competition

Jestic Foodservice Solutions is supporting the Association of Catering Excellence (ACE) Ready Steady Cook competition which is being held for the first time since 2019 and will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the competition.

The ACE Ready Steady Cook competition involves 12 teams of professional chefs, from catering companies including Restaurant Associates, Sodexo, Vacherin and Blue Apple. It will take place on 19th September at Skylight, Peckham.

As supporters of the cook-off, Jestic are providing multiple Mibrasa MH300 Hibachi Grills for the chefs to use. Teams will be cooking two main course dishes (two portions of each), one for tasting and one for presenting.

Michael Eyre, product director at Jestic Foodservice Solutions, said: “The style of cooking at this year’s competition will take on a completely new angle, as chefs bring in the styles of the current UK food scene.

“Chefs must cook their first plate to feature their main protein as the star of the dish, to be cooked using live fire. Their second dish must see at least one element cooked using live fire. We’re therefore delighted to show our support of the competition and sponsor the event by providing the Mibrasa MH300 Hibachi Grills for the chefs to cook on.”
