Henrique Sá Pessoa joins 2023 Skills for Chefs Conference line-up

Henrique Sá Pessoa, the two Michelin starred chef from Lisbon, will feature at the Skills for Chefs Conference on 28-29 June 2023 where he will present some classical dishes from Portugal that will be of great interest to the delegates.

The Skills for Chefs Conference programme will have something for all chefs with a diverse range of styles and tastes from around the world. 

David McKown, director of Skills for Chefs, said: “We are delighted that Henrique is able to join us next year and his presence will be very topical since he will be opening in London very soon.”

Henrique is launching an Iberian restaurant and bar called Joia at the new art'otel London Battersea Power Station. The menu will be inspired by flavours of Portugal and highlights will include orzo bisque and salted cod crudo.

The conference opens on the evening of Wednesday 28 June at the University of Sheffield with ‘An Audience with Marco Pierre White’, an insight into his three michelin star career is promised and with 180 chefs present this will be a great occasion.

Also presenting in the culinary theatre will be Sally Abé who is returning to Sheffield having completed a degree at Sheffield Hallam University. Sally’s restaurant, The Pem, named after suffragette Emily Wilding Davison opened in Conrad London St. James in July 2021.
