Craft Guild of Chefs’ Culinary Team sponsor Darégal to host immersive French tour

On the 17th July 2024 French aromatic plant and oil producer Darégal will host an immersive French tour for the Craft Guild of Chefs Culinary Team.

As one of the team’s sponsors Darégal has invited the team to travel to Milly-la-Forêt near Paris, where for three days they will be treated to an educational and immersive culinary experience.

The attending team includes Jamie Gibbs, Rick Owens, Simon Webb, Shona Sutherland, Wayne Corbett and chef captain Terry O ’Riordan. They will see first-hand Darégal’s impressive approach to producing the finest herbs and aromatic plants since 1887.

Andrew Green, chief executive of the Craft Guild of Chefs, commented: “This is a fantastic opportunity for our Culinary Team to understand the breadth and depth of where their ingredients come from and how they are produced. Several of Darégal products have been endorsed by The Craft Guild of Chefs prestigious product endorsement scheme.

Their modern day aromatic plant range extends from everyday herbs such as coriander and dill, to exotics such as lemongrass and ginger, to their organic range which includes herbs such as organic basil and parsley. Alongside this, Darégal produce a range of culinary solutions for foodservice, including herb-based sauces and signature coulis’s.

The Craft Guild of Chefs Culinary Team won an impressive hoard of medals at this year’s Culinary Olympics, including five gold, one silver, one bronze and two diplomas of honours.

Held in Stuttgart, the Culinary Olympics is the pinnacle of global chef competitions, elevating winners to the international stage. It is the oldest, largest, and most diverse cooking competition in the world, and it has taken place every four years since 1900. An incredible 2,000 chefs compete over five days.
