Chef Vivek wins Executive Pastry Chef of the Year 2023 accolade

Chef Vivek Chauhan, executive pastry chef at Le Meridien in New Delhi, was honoured with the 2023 Executive Pastry Chef North award by Better Kitchen, India.

The award ceremony witnessed the convergence of culinary luminaries and connoisseurs alike to celebrate the masterminds behind the kitchens.

This award not only recognises Vivek's ‘exceptional talent’ but also marks a triumphant milestone in his career. He has ‘redefined the art of pastry-making’ by fusing modern European and French classical techniques with the vibrant and diverse flavours of the Indian palate.

The Sea Salt Caramel Mousse, Fraisier, Rose Raspberry Lychee Entremet, Amalfi Lemon & Basil Posset, Gariguette Strawberry Eton Mess, and Amarena Cherry Mirliton are just a glimpse into the world of Vivek's creations.

He commented: "It's a significant accomplishment, and I’m grateful for all my mentors from Michelin star chefs to my seniors from The Lancaster in London, chef Davinder Kumar etc and my team.”

Among his many accolades, he has previously been honoured with the Pastry Chef of the Year title in both 2018 and 2021 by the Indian Culinary Forum, one of the India’s most prestigious chef associations and India International Hospitality Exhibition Awards respectively.

As Vivek continues to elevate the art of pastry-making, his award is not just a recognition of past achievements; it's a promise of more delectable surprises and culinary marvels to come.
