AAK joins forces with Craft Guild vice chairman Christopher Basten for new recipe book
Edible oils and fats specialist AAK has introduced its first Winter Warmers recipe book containing 10 recipes using its Prep Premium speciality oils, created by Craft Guild of Chefs vice chairman Christopher Basten.
Basten, who trained with leading chefs John Burton-Race and Raymond Blanc, has put together starters, main courses, salads and a Chinese dish perfect for Chinese New Year. Recipes range from roast chestnut and sage soup, seared scallops and black pudding to rump of lamb sous vide style in garlic oil, curly kale and sage dumplings, char grilled Old Spot pork cutlet and seared wild duck marinated in sesame seed oil with stir fry salad. Each recipe uses one of the quality Prep Premium speciality oils, which include lemon, garlic, chilli and basil infused oils, along with toasted sesame and balsamic vinegar. Designed to inspire even the most creative chef, the range brings a quick, flavour-rich and authentic influence to each of the Winter Warmers. • For a free copy of Prep Premium's Winter Warmers by Christopher Basten, visit www.prepoils.co.uk
