Wellness event 2: Understanding and Supporting Neurodiversity in Hospitality

16 Apr 2026 - 16 Apr 2026

Adel Gascoigne will deliver an interactive, insight-rich session designed to help hospitality teams better understand and support neurodiverse colleagues.

As a Neurodiversity & Trauma Assessor, Wellbeing and Mental Health Coach, and Learning & Development Specialist with over 23 years’ safeguarding experience, Adel brings practical expertise and real-world compassion.

This session gives attendees the skills to recognise different thinking styles, understand behaviour through a neuro-inclusive lens, and respond to distress or overwhelm in a calm, supportive way.

Leaders and teams will leave with increased confidence, improved communication strategies, and a deeper ability to create working environments where every member of staff feels understood, valued, and able to perform at their best.

The Takeaways:

  • Awareness of what neurodiversity means
  • Insight into neurodiverse vs neurotypical processing
  • Awareness of signs of distress and common triggers
  • Simple, effective ways to support neurodiverse colleagues
