Young Pastry Chef of the Year announces 12 semi-finalists
The Young Pastry Chef of the Year 2020 has announces the 12 semi-finalists who will compete for a space in the final.
The overall winner will receive the David Lyell Scholarship, which was set up in memory of the former chairman of Town & Country Fine Foods. The competition is open to pastry chefs aged 23 and under on 1 march 2020.
The 12 semi-finalists include:
City of Glasgow College (3 March)
- Abigail Bond - Old Course St. Andrews
- Robbie John Gray Maitland - City of Glasgow College
- Ruth Dowie - Ayrshire College
- Victoria Hollingsworth - The Gleneagles Hotel
The Sheffield College (3 March)
- Adam Gough - Hopwood College
- Chloe Hammond - Claire Clarke Academy - MK College
- Fern Donovan - Infusions Group
- Lourdes Callum Shaw- Kings College
- Holly Jackson - Hopwood College
Town and Country (3 March)
- Caitlin Kemp-Powell - Farnborough College
- Emily Steen - St. David's Hotel
- Mark Barnes - Grand Hotel Eastbourne
The Young Pastry Chef of the Year final will take place on 7 April 2020 at The Claire Clark Academy in Milton Keynes.
