Compass returns as International Salon Culinaire headline sponsor
With more than 100 live and static challenges across three days, Salon Culinaire is an ‘unmissable opportunity’ for chefs to test their skills and creativity in a live competition environment as well as networking with other chefs from across the industry.
Over 70 top chefs will be judging the dishes and displays, including Compass Group UK & Ireland culinary director Nick Vadis. He said: “Salon Culinaire gives chefs confidence, competing helps them develop and hone their skills, as well as picking up new techniques. Chefs don’t get out of their own kitchen often, so events like these are a great opportunity to challenge themselves, meet other chefs and see what the standards are within the hospitality world.”
Competitions taking place include the NHS 4 Nations Chef Challenge, the Alaska Seafood Masters, Stadium Experience Chef Team of the Year and Country Range Student Chef Team Challenge, along with popular new additions from the 2022 event such as the Apprentice Challenge and Pub Chef of the Year.
In addition to International Salon Culinaire, there will be a range of opportunities for chefs and catering professionals to learn, network and discover ‘innovative’ new techniques and products at HRC 2023.
New for the upcoming edition is Chef HQ, which will see top UK and international chefs such as Andrew Wong, Frédéric Bau, Tom Philips and 2022 National Chef of the Year Ben Murphy host deep dives into categories including seafood, chocolate and dim sum.
The show will also include an exclusive keynote interview with chef ambassador Monica Galetti on the Vision Stage, plus a wide range of insightful panel discussions and debates across the three days of the show from leading chefs, hospitality business owners and industry leaders.
