Welcome to the Culinary Academy

Welcome to the Culinary Academy

The Culinary Academy is a structure through which chefs can build and develop their competitive CVs, including a system of awards recognising levels of skill and competitive excellence.

Novice members can progress through these levels following competitive attainment, while experienced competitors are recognised and rewarded for their achievements.

Competing provides a whole new string to your bow, allows you to showcase your own ideas, be recognised by your peers and have the opportunity to develop new skills and experience diverse food styles and presentations. There is also a personal sense of pride.

Competing also offers opportunities to establish greater relationships with suppliers through sponsorship, to network with chefs you would never dream of meeting ordinarily, and compete against some of the world's finest talent.

Through the generosity of its patrons – Brakes, Electrolux Professional and Pritchitts – the academy is able to be even more competitive, thanks to financial support and the supply of first class products to use.

Why should I join the Culinary Academy?

  • The opportunity to tap into the knowledge and experience of fellow members – experienced competitors, mentors and judges
  • Both at the events themselves where they will be on hand to support you, or via an online Q&A forum for pre-competition
