Nick Patterson: Winner of the Pastry Chef Award

Nick Patterson from Claridge's Hotel, London won the Pastry Chef Award at this year's annual Craft Guild of Chefs' Awards held on the 16th June.
Nick Patterson boasts an impressive CV with experience working in some of the most renowned pastry kitchens in Europe – from stages at Patisserie Fontainebleau in Paris, to London's Dorchester and Selfridges, before he joined Claridge's in 2004.

As pastry chef at Claridge's he manages a team of 15, catering for 24 hour room service, two bars, two restaurants and a number of private event spaces. He also provides afternoon tea as well as bespoke products for the hotel's gift and flower shops. In addition to running pastry masterclasses for the public, he is constantly training younger members of his team.
