The White House restaurant in Rhuallt, North Wales, has appointed a new head chef.

Wesley Oakley has produced a menu full of dishes which include fresh herbs, soft fruits and selection of vegetables grown on-site.

This is the first time that the experienced chef has created his own menu and his fusion of home-cooked food with a fine-dining twist.

Oakley commented on his new appointment: “It is very exciting to be a part of setting up a brand new restaurant. Everything we cook is fresh and every single ingredient we use is locally sourced.”

Originally from Manchester, Oakley has over 20 years experience and previously worked as the head chef at the Kinmel Arms, in Abegele for nine years. Prior to this, he worked in two fine dining restaurants as well as a fine dining hotel in Manchester.

Operations director at the White House, Ceri Whiteley, added: “It’s great to have Wesley on board and he has created an amazing menu.

“There is something for everyone and thanks to his delicious food we have had people flooding through the doors.”
