Groves was one of almost 100 people who visited Aviko's new Twitter page to leave congratulations on its half century in business, each using the hashtag #happy50thaviko. The former Head Chef at Lloyds of London said: "It's fantastic to have won – I'm still in shock about it! This is a real surprise for me but I have to admit it is a very pleasant one. I'm a member of the Craft Guild of Chefs so I know Aviko and their potato products well from the company's close relationship with the Guild." "In 50 years Aviko has gone from a co-operative of farmers huddled around a table to a fully modernised, major global player.
