Written by: Admin
Taylors of Harrogate has announced it is sponsoring the Best Tea category in the 2013 Beverage Standards Association (BSA) Awards.

The accolade is one of seven Best Drink awards up for grabs from the BSA which will also see deserving teashops, restaurants and cafés, including mobile operations and outlets in hotels and bars, receive national accreditation in the form of a 1-5 ‘cup’ rating that operators can display in windows.

The BSA awards are open to members and non-members with outlets being judged by independent, anonymous trained assessors for their beverage quality and service levels.

Outlets can enter themselves or be nominated by other parties, such as suppliers or customers. To enter the awards online, visit www.beveragestandardsassociation.co.uk by the deadline date of 25th April. The fee per entry per site is £38+VAT for BSA members and £50+VAT for non-members. Judging starts in May with the winners being unveiled at a glittering awards ceremony in September.

John Sutcliffe – out of home and convenience controller, Taylors of Harrogate said: “We’re proud to put our name to the BSA Tea award. The Association is a vital part of the UK hot beverages market and is using its influence not only to safeguard the quality of beverages served out-of-home but also to reward those outlets that are serving the very best brews.

"We love a good cuppa, and share the same values as the BSA, which is why we’re very much looking forward to the winner being unveiled and urge anyone who takes pride in their tea offering to get involved.”
