Tabasco British Oyster Opening Championship 2011

The details for the Tabasco British Oyster Opening Championship 2011 have been unveiled.
On Thursday 1st September at Bentley's Oyster Bar and Grill, London, the UK's supreme 'shuckers' will be battling it out for the British title. Professional oyster 'shuckers' will battle it out with encouragement from some of the UK s leading experts from the hospitality industry including; chefs, restaurateurs, food writers, seafood experts and a few well known faces. Competitors are required to open and display 30 native oysters as quickly as possible and present them on a silver tray (as they would be served at any prestigious restaurant). The winner – The Tabasco British Oyster Opener 2011 – will win £250 and will also represent the UK in the World Oyster Opening Championship in Galway, Ireland.
