Written by: Admin
To coincide with National Vegetarian Week, The Vegetarian Society is calling for chefs to take part in its Big Veggie Breakfast Butty competition.
To take part, chefs can email their entries to [email protected] or post: to the Big Veggie Breakfast Butty Challenge, Parkdale, Dunham Rd, Altrincham, WA14 4QG. Liz O'Neill, head of communications at the Vegetarian Society, said: "National Vegetarian Week's breakfast theme will help everyone to get off to a good start, realise how much veggie food they already eat and help to tackle head on the notion that life isn't worth living without a bacon butty. "We're looking for a Big Veggie Breakfast Butty that makes football fans, lorry drivers and early risers glad to be awake. This Big Veggie Breakfast Butty will make its meaty imposters hang their heads in shame." National Vegetarian Week is taking place between 21-27 May.
