RAF team wins BBC 2's Bake Off Crème de la Crème

Written by: Andrew McClean
Corporal Liam Grime and his team of RAF chefs were crowned the winners of BBC 2's Bake Off: Crème de la Crème last night.

The final of the baking competition for professional chefs was judged by patissiers Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden and saw Liam's 'military boys' take on Laurian Veaudor's 'French dragons' from Cardiff's Cocorico Patisserie.

The 'military boys' beat the 'French dragons' by just three points in an eight-hour final.

Corporal Ian Mark, who competed alongside Grime and Corporal Chris Morrell, is also up for the Armed Services Chefs Award at the Craft Guild of Chefs Awards tonight.
