PPHE Hotel Group appoints executive chef

The PPHE Hotel Group Limited has appointed Italian head chef Daniele Pampagnin to the newly created role of executive chef.
Pampagnin will work alongside Michael Flint who joined the company in the new role of Vice President Restaurants & Bars PPHE Hotel Group at the end of 2011 and will drive concept development opportunities, including projects such as a new destination-led restaurant at Park Plaza Victoria London due for opening 2012. Michael Flint, Vice President Bars and Restaurants PPHE Hotel Group commented: "I am delighted to welcome Daniele into this newly created role. As a company we have launched a number of successful restaurant concepts in recent years including Chino Latino, Ichi Sushi & Sashimi and Brasserie Joel. "Daniele brings with him a wealth of experience and with so many restaurant openings planned, his Italian knowledge, flair and skills will be integral in championing our destination-led concept strategy this year." Pampagnin previously trained in Italy in a number of restaurants including Hotel Cipriani. He then went on to hold the role of executive Italian brand chef for seven years at acclaimed brand, Soho House Group for Cecconi's Restaurant, Shoreditch House and Soho House Berlin. He also worked as head chef for Mayfair restaurants Pappagallo and Diverso and has developed and led chef training programmes such as 'Cook House'. Pampagnin added: "I am excited to be joining at such a milestone year for the company, particularly in terms of positioning our outlets as destination-led restaurants. I want to bring a vibrant and rustic culinary experience to diners, which begins with the opening of the new restaurant at Park Plaza Victoria London this year."
