Olympic opportunity for school chefs

Written by: Admin
Catering website Love British Food is joining forces with London Olympics organisers to run Love British Food Family Feasts in Sure Start Children's Centres in disadvantaged areas of the country.
And they're looking for school chefs prepared to volunteer their time and skills for the events, which will run during British Food Fortnight (27 July – 12 Aug) and the London Olympics. Danielle Faulkner of Love British Food says: "The Family Feasts are a means of giving some of Britain's poorest families and communities the opportunity to come together to celebrate all the excitement of the Olympics. "We are going to be supporting and working directly with 24 Feasts around the country to make these headline flagships for this exciting initiative, but we need your help. "We need chefs to help us organise the flagship feasts. If you would like to be the lead on one of these flagship feasts please get in touch. "The London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (LOCOG) is hugely excited about this project and we hope you will join us, so that you too can be part of the Olympic excitement." To volunteer email: [email protected] or call 0207 840 9292. For more information visit the website: www.lovebritishfood.co.uk/taking-part/take-part/family-feasts.
