Nominations open for Scottish Curry Awards 2012

The hungryhouse.co.uk Scottish Curry Awards are returning once again to showcase the best curries Scotland has to offer.
Nominations are now open and the public are encouraged to nominate their favourite curry restaurants to help them be recognised as the best in the country. The awards will be held on the 11th of June in Glasgow at the Thistle Hotel. The categories are as follows: Curry Lover of the Year Best Supermarket Curry Award Team of the Year Chef of the Year Takeaway of the Year Lifetime Achievement Curry King or Queen 2012 Restaurant of the Year The public can nominate their favourite restaurant for Restaurant of the Year by nominating them for the regional Restaurant of the Year award. The overall winner will then be chosen from the 4 regional winners. The regional awards are as follows: North West Restaurant of the Year South West Restaurant of the Year North East Restaurant of the Year South East Restaurant of the Year Yasmin Mahmood, operations & business development manager for event organiser Oceanic Consulting, said: "Food is something which people get really passionate about, whether it's the chefs who take pride in their creations or the public who love nothing more than a great meal out. "This passion is why we decided to put on the awards in the first place and the great response we received last year has me looking forward to see how it grows."
