Born in Barcelona, Bastenier started his career in Spain and with over ten years culinary experience, he has accumulated a wealth of experience in restaurant operations, traditional and modern cooking techniques and banquets. He will be bringing this experience to the hotel's newly refurbished restaurant, Rockwell. Bastenier said: "I'm really looking forward to my new role at The Trafalgar hotel and bringing my knowledge to Rockwell to give guests a wonderful experience that they won't forget in a hurry!"
