Kevin Boyle, a former Fifteen chef with Jamie Oliver who went missing in October 2011, has been found dead.
Kevin was last seen at Purley Station on 26th October 2011 and a web-based appeal was launched to find him. His body was found in Coulsdon - around two miles from where he was last sighted. Today, the worst was confirmed on the website set up to find him and close friend Peter Fosdike paid this tribute: "Kevin never failed to amaze us or make an impact on our lives. He was passionate about his friends and we are only now seeing just how many friends from all over the world he has, he was truly and deeply loved by so many. He used to cook for his friends and surprise them with tastes that we may never have the delight of experiencing again, he was a masterful chef. "Kevin was humble and caring and yet was bold and creative enough not to shy away from a challenge, he was looking for a business partner to set up a restaurant and achieved incredible feats in his life." He graduated from Fifteen back in 2002 and went on to work in some of London's top restaurants including Le Caprice, St John and Smiths of Smithfield, and has prepared food for Prince Charles at Clarence House, and former Prime Minister Tony Blair. At the time of his disappearance Kevin was employed at Vinoteca in Farringdon, London. Most recently he was seeking a financial backer for a restaurant he wanted to set up in his home town. Jamie Oliver said he was proud to have known him: "I am proud to have been able to call Kevin a friend for 10 years and he was also a constant supporter of Fifteen and all the apprentices and graduates who came after him through the course." A post-mortem will take place on Wednesday in Croydon.
