Michel Roux Jnr takes on role of patron of Springboard

Leading chef Michel Roux Jnr has become a patron of the charity, Springboard.

Roux, who took over the helm at the world famous Michelin starred Le Gavroche in 1991, has won numerous awards for his cuisine and has continued to set the standard for classical French fine dining in London.

He is also renowned for being a judge and presenter on the cooking programme BBC MasterChef: The Professionals.

Roux said: “I am thrilled to have become a patron of Springboard, a charity which does incredible work on behalf of many disadvantaged young people, helping the next generation to achieve its full potential.

“Encouraging the pursuit of careers in the hospitality industry is a cause close to my heart, and one which I am so proud to be affiliated with.”
