London's League of Club Chefs' 'Question of Food' challenge

Written by: Admin
Another night of quizzing is being organised by London's League of Club Chefs (LCC) to test chefs and caterers' knowledge about food.
Now in its third year, the annual charity quiz will take place at the Royal Air Force Club in Piccadilly, London, on Monday, October 15, and the league hopes more teams will enter this year. Question masters will be LCC members David Summerell and Don Irwin. Irwin said: "We are looking for teams of five. Last year there were around 35 entrants, mostly chefs, and we hope to attract more this year. "Questions are based on food and drink and we do include a couple of challenging rounds. For example, last year teams had to identify a variety of unusual cheese types. "Each team nominates their own charity and at the end of the challenge, the money raised is sent to the winning team's charity. The team led by Steve Reid from the Grocers' Hall has won two years running." Entry fee is £10 per person, which includes supper.
