Leading chefs have joined over 2000 seafood lovers to celebrate Salcome Crabfest 2017.

The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Salcombe, saw TV chef and presenter of Channel 4’s food unwrapped Matt Tebbutt and Mitch Tonks, chef and food writer, lead the line up.

The event saw cooking demonstrations from chefs including Allister Bishop, South Sand’s executive chef and chef and cookbook author Jane Baxter.

John Sampson, one of the event organisers, said: “It was a fantastic day and it was brilliant to see so many families and children enjoying the event which is becoming a set date in the yearly calendar for food lovers from around the region and beyond.

“It’s a great day not just for the people directly connected to the local seafood industry but also for all of the traders around the town so the event certainly benefits Salcombe as a whole.”

The event featured over 40 exhibitors and around £10,000 was raised for charity during the event.
