A spokesperson said: “We’re excited to now unearth the next generation of young Scottish chef talent from the best catering colleges across the country. The live finals will take place on Thursday 21st Mach 2024 at the City of Glasgow College.”

The competition has been supported by head judge Gary Maclean who won MasterChef the Professionals in 2016. Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third places students. The overall winner, their lecturer and commis chef will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Italy that will be both ‘educational and inspirational’.
